Karen is still as happy and funny as ever. Very funny! She spends her day with her mommy barking like a dog, mooing like a cow, hooting like an owl, growling like a bear, and buzzing like a bee. She likes to say "shoes" ("sh-szh"), "ball" (which comes out, "daahl"), "baby" ("daah-daah"), "fish" ("fiszh"), "cheerios" ("chsz-sz"), and "Elmo" ("el-YAA", her favorite from Sesame Street). She still has a bunch of hand signs, such as: patting her head for "hat" or "hair", palms up for "I don't know" and "all gone", stroking her cheek for "kittycat", and her latest invention, patting her chest for "burp" and her belly for "fart". (See, we told you she's funny!) She loves to announce to us when anyone in the room has done either. We're so proud.
She's been walking and running for a while now, and her latest
thing is learning to climb up on things (and fall off them).
We've been having lots of visions of rushing her off to
the emergency room; but then Karen picks herself up, rubs her
head, and laughs "Ooo! Oooo!"
